Calendar One Most calendars are made before the year arrives, Calendar One was no different. The idea of this calendar came when we had some free time on our hands and wanted to explore photography. A theme was decided - to showcase the different facets of IIT Bombay. Moving away from the stereo type associated with us and showing the cooler side. After the selection of the theme we had to select the models. We decided two criterions for the selection of our model, one she must be unique in some sense and second she must have a refreshing quality in her. Initially we thought it would be easy to select the models but this was the most daunting task. After several days of deliberation we short listed 12. The first shoot started in February and we planned to finish all by month end. Juggling so many people's schedules and our own became a challenge in itself. We finished the 11th shoot by March end. Still one model short and running out of options we decided that there won’t be a 12th model and the place should remain vacant. All said and done Calendar One is a very close project for us. We had great fun working on it and now that we are passing out of college this was one way to keep Colorz Co. alive, here, for years to come. If we do it next year we promise to release it before the year begins. Colorz Co. A tiny design consulting venture started by two enterprising IIT Bombay undergraduate students in the summers of 2004. What initially started as a freelance adventure to make some quick buck turned serious when they landed a few big clients. Having done zero publicity to promote themselves, the quality of their work attracted varied clients varying from big MNC banks to global business consultants. All things good or bad must come to an end, Colorz Co. has slowly started disengaging itself from all its projects. Calendar One will be the last adventure that Colorz Co. embarks upon. But we will be back, some other time, on some other platform. Amardeep Singh
